Agra is one of the main historical cities of India. Agra was one of the important cities under Mughal period.

Agra is famous because of Taj Mahal, which stands in the city and Taj Mahal is the most popular monument in the world. The Mughal Emperor Shahjahan ruled from 1628 to 1658 and built the Taj Mahal in the remembrance of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

India’s rich cultural diversity and civilization are observed within the handcraft of Agra. Handicrafts from India reflects the imagination of classic and trained craftsmen. These craftsmen are experts in their work and hence makes special craft. They also pass the tradition from a one generation to another and so on.

Agra is famous for Stone crafts, Leather work and Embroidery work. Embroidery work is worldwide popular and Indian Zardozi Embroidery work connects with the Mughals. Under Mughal period, mostly trained tailors used to stitch High Kings & Queens dresses. Few people used to work Zardozi Embroidery on their dresses and their entire family were involved in this creation. Later on, Mughal period was finished and the fashion was also changing rapidly. Therefore, these people work was also changing gradually.

Few families in Agra were dependent on this work and they changed the style of their work. They started preparing Zardozi Embroidery items like Bags, Boxes, Photo frames, Journals etc.

Master Piece Crafts team purpose is to reach those artisans in Agra who still lives below the poverty line. We always try to make a direct connection with these artisans and to promote their work. We try to associate with those artisans who are real and they don’t have any support to run their livelihoods. We are trying to promote their Art so that they can earn good and live a healthy life.

Master Piece crafts have minority women’s group named “Koshish” with 32 artisan members who came from different family backgrounds. Their families are dependent on them. Few artisan members have their ancestors who used to work in this field and they learnt this Art from them. They are not financially strong.

We are introducing their handmade crafts in the market & promoting their Art, so that they earn better & have good profit for their work. We want to improve their living standard and focusing on their child’s education & health. These Artisans make different products like Embroidered Boxes, Bags, Photo frames, Wall Arts etc.


Metal Craft

Moradabad is a city of Western India and it was established by Mughals. In 1625, the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan appointed Rustam Khan to capture this place and he set up a fort there, named it Rustam Nagar. Later on, it named Moradabad after Shahjahan's son Murad Baksh.

Moradabad is famously known as “Peetal Nagri” or “the Brass City”. It is recognized for its high quality Brass Handicrafts that are exported all over the world.

Moradabad is famous for its metalwork Art and acknowledged for its colored enameling & intricate engravings. Color & engraving patterns are very interesting. Various items created through Brass which includes traditional Vases, Trays, Stools, Decorative items and idols of Gods and Goddess.

Moradabad Artisans are worldwide renowned for their Art and have their own identity.

Master Piece Crafts team purpose is to reach those artisans who still lives below the poverty line and struggling to earn the livelihood. We always try to make a direct connection with the artisans and work with them.

Our Artisan partners are masters in their field as they are the 3rd generation of their families who was involved in making the handmade crafts. We are introducing & promoting our artisan’s handmade work & spreading their Art, so that they earn better and can secure the future of their families. We are trying to improve the living standard of our artisan community and focusing to improve their child’s education & health.

Master Piece Crafts Artisan Community has 16 families and 120 artisan members. Our Community has both Men & Women Artisans and are working in their areas with responsibility and credibility. Our Artisans are making products like Lanterns, Tea Light Holders, Candle Holders, Vases, Bowls & other Kitchen items etc.


Horn & Bone Craft

Sambhal city in Uttar Pradesh has a rich history and has been home to several rulers and emperors.

Sambhal is famous for its unique kind of Horn, Bone & Shell craft items which is manufactured in Sarai Tarin.

Sambhal Artisans are famous for their Art. Master Piece Crafts team purpose is to reach those artisans in this area who still lives below the poverty line and are suffering for livelihood. We always try to make a direct connection with these artisans.

There are 12 families and 80 artisan members who work with Master Piece Crafts. This group has both Men & Women Artisans involved. We are introducing their handmade crafts in the market & promoting their Art, so that they earn better & have good profit for their work. We want to improve their living standard and focusing on their child’s education & health. These Artisans make different products like Incense Holders, Jewelry, Bowls, Photo frames, Pen holders etc.


Wood Craft

Nagina is the word for "Jewel". It was named by Syed's who received this place as Jagir by the Mughals. Syed Ghalib Ali got this place as Jagir and he founded the city by building Nagina Mahal.

Nagina is also known as 'Wood Craft City'. It has deeper and rich cultural impact on the art and craft traditions of India. The history of wood crafts in Nagina is about five hundred years old. Nagina is famous for its wooden handicrafts, especially ebony work. Artisans make items with different wood like Sheesham, Mango, Rose etc., which includes Wooden Boxes, Jewelry Boxes, Tea Boxes, Coffee Boxes, Incense Boxes, Game Boxes, Candle Holders, Paper Rack, Pen Holders, Paper Cutter, Coasters Sets, Ashtrays, Wooden Jewelry, Smoking Pipes, Door Handles, Walking Sticks, Nautical tables, Furniture etc. exclusive brass inlay and wooden inlay boxes and engravings are very popular.

The evolution of Art and Craft has been an organic one and also inspired by the flora of the region. The geographical proximity to the area meant that the raw material, wood is always naturally available in abundance to act as a canvas for these handicraft traditions.

Nagina Artisans are famous worldwide for their Art and they have their own identity. Master Piece Crafts team purpose is to reach those artisans in Nagina who still lives below the poverty line. We always try to make a direct connection with these artisans.

There are 24 families and 170 artisan members who work with Master Piece Crafts. This group has both Men & Women Artisans involved. We are introducing their handmade crafts in the market & promoting their Art, so that they earn better & have good profit for their work. We want to improve their living standard and focusing on their child’s education & health. These Artisans make different products like Wooden Boxes, Photo frames, Trays, Coasters, Games & Puzzles etc.
